Planning A Funeral Service
Planning a funeral service can be a tremendously difficult time for anyone. We all want to celebrate our passed loved one but the grief is often still fresh. With so much to think about and plan, it can be hard to get your head straight, especially if this is your first time arranging a ceremony. Bespoke Funeral Ceremonies started to help alleviate the pressure people put on themselves to organise a personalised funeral ceremony. We have experience you can draw on and expertise you can rely on to make planning that little bit easier.
What does a Funeral Celebrant do?
The best Funeral Celebrants will not produce a set Ceremony that just gets repeated again and again. Neither will they include their own views or beliefs. They will:
- Give time to learn about the life of the person.
- Spend hours putting together this information which can include songs, music, hymns, readings, poems, tributes, eulogies, fitting committal/farewell.
- Create a basic Order of Service for the family or funeral director to arrange printing.
- Assist with draft tributes, and eulogies to be sent to the family/executor for any corrections, additions or changes.
- Liaise with others who plan to bring tributes, readings, poems etc to ensure good timing, especially at Crematoria.
Personal Visits and First Drafts
Bespoke Funeral Ceremonies provide personal visits to a venue of your choice, often in a home setting or at the Funeral Directors. This will involve straightforward questions to enable a Funeral Ceremony to be put together of your choice. (If distance is an issue, this can be done via Skype.)
We offer first drafts over email with as many changes as you would like (subject to time constraints) to ensure a fitting and memorable ceremony you are pleased with.
It is not enough to write and deliver a funeral service for a grieving family… you must love them too.

Pre Planned Funeral Ceremonies
B.F.C. also provide Pre-Planned Funeral Ceremonies. This can save the heartache for relatives of what to do and say at a time of grief and be included with your will/last wishes. This service extends further across the UK and worldwide if done by Skype and email. Please click below or enquire for more details.
Note: Planning a funeral service that is unique and personal is what a dedicated Funeral Celebrant will do. All Celebrants who take this seriously will have undergone training which they will have paid for with a UK organisation. It is much like a vocation to true Funeral Celebrants. In not using a ‘one size fits all’ approach, such Funeral Celebrants (who won’t get rich by this) can only manage a few funerals a week to deliver these tailor-made ceremonies.
